Fryderyk was born in Warsaw to Vietnamese parents who had immigrated to Poland in the early 90s. From a very young age, he showed a natural inclination towards music. He spent years honing his craft, participating in numerous classical pianistic workshops and competitions across Poland, all the while being a huge lover of alternative rock bands. Despite his success in classical piano, Fryderyk began seeking different opportunities and goals outside the pianistic career.

He attended Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, majoring in Sound Engineering. During college, his interests and influences shifted to more contemporary fields like jazz, fusion, and Electronic genres. Fryderyk's exposure to the technological side of music making led him to the world of sound design and post-production. He got involved in the film industry and collaborated with many film schools across Poland, gaining professional experience and success.

Despite his achievements, Fryderyk still felt the urge to follow his musical path as a performer. After taking a break during his senior year, he decided to take a shot at his career as a professional jazz musician. In 2017, he moved to the USA to study at Berklee College of Music. While at Berklee, Fryderyk had the opportunity to collaborate with many artists from around the world. In Fall 2018, he joined the prestigious Grammy-nominated multicultural Berklee Indian Ensemble that led him to work with many acclaimed musicians.

Fryderyk composes his original repertoire, which is a blend of contemporary jazz with rock and ambient music. He draws inspiration from artists like Aaron Parks, Tigran Hamasyan, and Avishai Cohen. In 2021, he recorded his first album with original compositions, featuring many leading musicians from the international and Polish music scene, including Mateusz Smoczyński (Atom String Quartet), Rafał Sarnecki, Michal Baranski. Outside of his project, Fryderyk currently works as a record producer, session musician, and composer for visual media. His music is synced for use in advertisements, film, and TV.

"Ultimately, Fryderyk HD conjures up a wealth of creatively unexpected twists and turns that lead back to one thing—an alluring debut from a fresh talent."

Scott Gudell, All About Jazz

"Few pianists today could have made a debut of such ambitious scope and inspired vision. But for Fryderyk, it seems to have come naturally."

Julia Messenger, Dingo Jazz
